The competitive part of the project “Online Literary Incubator” ended November 15, 2013. Huge numbers of young not affirmed authors, who tried out and developed their talent for literary creativity in the previous months. The activities of the incubator were not only online. Through nine workshops, over three hundred young people interested in the written word build their capacities!
At the workshops we talked about how to start a literary work and the obstacles that young authors in this regard face; we went through the concept of literary works, explained what is the creative block and how to overcome it. We covered the topics of following genres: memoirs, love poetry, fiction and other popular genres. We dealt with the originality of literary works and the pitfalls that young authors can face; talked about the journey from novel to screenplay and about short story collections, and concluded with the debate on the topic “What is your genre?”
Affirmed writers of the publishing company Laguna Dejan Stojiljkovic, Vanja Bulic, Nenad Gajic, Branislav Jankovic, Jelena Bacic Alimpic and many others, supported the project and shared their knowledge and experiences with the participants of Online Literary Incubator. Young author, Mimi Vlaovic, shared how she sees her literary beginnings. Leontina Vukomanovic a longtime successful songwriter and cant author was speaking about love poetry.
Ten young artists who became the finalists of the Incubator, said that they have behind them an unforgettable experience that will help them a lot in their potential future literary career, regardless of which three young people will be declared the winners of the project on December 23, 2013 and get a great prize – technical processing, printing, distribution and promotion of their literary works.
