Online literary incubator is a unique project in the region, which for the first time in Serbia, merged the tradition of the written word and modern technology (internet). Like this we motivated young people, who in increasing numbers choose the Internet as a mean of communication and expression of attitude, and brought them closer to book as a form of literal expression. In this way, the needs of young people are put first and the importance of using the media that are closest to them (internet) in projects of interest in this area is stressed.
Through the website, applications for mobile phones and tablets, live workshops and consultations, young people were motivated to develop their visible or hidden gift for writing novels, short stories and poetry.
All interested in participating had the opportunity to register on the site www.onlineink.rs completely free and to upload there their literary works. Participants were ought to ensure that as many supporters as possible vote for them. Ten authors with the highest number of votes were shortlisted.
During the project, participants had the opportunity to work with publishers and professionals in this field, and they were given the opportunity to improve their skills through workshops.
Three of the most talented authors, selected by expert members of the jury, got an opportunity to be published by a famous publishing house Laguna, who will also distribute and promote the book! In this way, young people are encouraged and motivated to develop their talents and given the necessary support when they need it most – at the very beginning of his career.
Among the jury members and expert facilitators of workshops were eminent authors – Vanja Bulic, Dejan Stojiljkovic, Uros Petrovic and others.
The project lasted from May to December 2013, and participants were young people from Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Macedonia, who do not have any literary works published so far.
The project is implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Serbia.
